Investment update

Investment performance can be one of the biggest factors influencing the size of your pension at retirement. You don’t need to become an investment expert, but it’s worth keeping an eye on how your pension investments are performing.

It’s important to remember that your retirement savings are being invested for the long-term. Whilst investment returns are expected to be positive over the long-term, short-term ups and downs are a feature of all investment markets.

The Trustee regularly reviews the suitability of the investments available to members in the Scheme and will make changes if it believes it’s appropriate to do so.

Please note, the value of your investment can go up as well as down and you may not get back the full amount you invested. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

Here’s a summary of how the HIPS DC investment funds have performed over one and three years to 31 December 2024. Performance is shown net of fees. You can log in to the member portal to view specific information about the funds you’re invested in.

1 These self-select funds were launched on 17 April 2024 therefore performance history for the periods shown in the table above is not available. However, the underlying funds have a longer track record therefore this has been shown instead.

2 The underlying fund does not have a 5-year track record, therefore performance since inception in April 2021 has been shown.

You can find more information about the individual funds in the HIPS investment guide. If you’re thinking about changing investment funds, we recommend that you seek independent financial advice. You can visit the MoneyHelper website if you need help finding an adviser.
