I’m pleased to introduce the latest update from the Hanson Industrial Pension Scheme (the Scheme).
2025 was another busy year for the Scheme. You may remember we contacted you earlier in the summer to invite members to apply to become a Member-Nominated Trustee Director (MNTD) of the Scheme. Helen Mayfield decided to step down as MNTD. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Helen for all her dedication and work over the last 25 years.
We were overwhelmed with the applications we received for the MNTD vacancy and are delighted to welcome Levi Wright to the board. As National Sales Manager, Levi brings a wealth of experience in managing complex decisions and ensuring accountability, which he will use to support strong governance and member-focused outcomes as a Trustee. Leading a national sales team has also strengthened his ability to collaborate, communicate clearly, and make balanced decisions – skills he is keen to apply in his new role.
We’ve also introduced some exiting new features to the Scheme, to help you on your journey to retirement, including a series of retirement workshops for active members, a new guidance and advice partner - LV= – to help members explore their retirement options, and Lifesight – a Trustee approved provider for members who wish to access their pension flexibly (also known as Flexi-Access Drawdown) at retirement. Your annual benefit statement is now available. I encourage you to take a moment to login to your online pension account and review this important document. Your statement explains how much you have in your pension so far, what your pension might look like when you retire and what you could change to increase the value of your account. Go to portal.hartlinkonline.co.uk/hanson to view your statement.
