Your annual benefit statement – probably the most important thing we send you each year – is now available to view online. When you look at it, you’ll be able to see three clear things:
- Where you are: how much money you’ve got in your HIPS DC pension at the moment
- Where you’re going: how much your pension could be worth at retirement, based on certain assumptions
- What you can change: how you could increase your pension
We’re building on last year’s redesign of your annual benefit statement to try to make it as useful as possible as you plan your retirement. With that in mind we’ve also produced a PDF guide, which you can look at alongside your benefit statement. It explains some of the more technical terms and gives some additional context to the figures.

Remember: when you log in to view your statement, you can also use the member portal to review the performance of individual investment funds, or check the benefits that could be payable to your loved ones in the event of your death.
